Metrocrest Chamber President Selected for National Child Care Master Class

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation has selected Michael Gallops, President & CEO of the Metrocrest Chamber of Commerce, to participate in a prestigious Master Class focused on community-based child care solutions. Gallops was chosen from a highly competitive pool of applicants from across the country, all part of the Foundation’s Business Leads Fellowship Program network.

The Business Leads Fellowship Program equips business leaders with the knowledge, tools, and peer network needed to tackle the most pressing education and workforce challenges facing their communities. This invitation-only Master Class is designed to provide participants with cutting-edge research, proven resources, and actionable strategies to help communities address the growing need for accessible, high-quality child care.

The Master Class begins with an intensive two-day, in-person convening in Boise, Idaho, on May 5–6, 2025, followed by a series of virtual sessions. Participants will engage with national experts, examine successful case studies, and collaborate with peers to develop scalable, business-led solutions to local child care issues.
Gallops joins 32 other chamber executives, economic development leaders, and association professionals from across the United States. Together, this cohort will form a community of practice, fostering ongoing collaboration and professional development in service to their regions.

“This is an incredible opportunity to bring new tools and proven strategies back to the Metrocrest region,” said Gallops. “Accessible, affordable child care is a foundational workforce issue—and one our Chamber is committed to helping solve.”
